There was an impromptu faculty meeting this morning in my building regarding the budget issues in the district. We are $1.2 million away from having a balanced budget, and all schools in the district must make cuts. The plan for the middle school is to cut 4.5 teaching positions. The odds aren't good for me.
Please keep Mitch and I in your thoughts and prayers, as we hope that the worst won't happen, but we're preparing for it. We're hoping that the stimulus package for education in MN will help to save my job, even if it means not knowing until the summertime.
